June 19th, 2024 Las Vegas, Nevada This week at the NIADA Annual Convention and Expo, our own CIADA former board member and executive committee president Michael Darrow was elected as President of the National Independent Dealers Association (NIADA) on Monday during its annual general membership meeting in Las Vegas, where he has served on the board since 2018. |
Darrow operates a dealership in Durham, NC. In a news release published by NIADA on Tuesday Darrow said, “he’d be honored to serve dealers and the association.” He went on to say, “I want the dealers that follow us to have a better chance of survival in this industry,” Darrow said. “I want to help the image of the independent dealer. I have a vision for the future of the independent dealer, and I’d be honored to serve the membership and finish my term of service.” NIADA reported the other officers elected to serve on the executive board as follows:
Among the slate officers was another dealer from the Carolinas. Darla Booher, dealer/owner of Deal Depot in Greer, SC was elected as Senior Vice President of the Executive Board. She too has served CIADA as a past president and was the NIADA Quality Dealer of the Year in 2015. “We are proud of our dealers who serve the independent automobile industry like Michael and Darla, as board members of NIADA,” said Marty Coates, CIADA Associate Executive Director.
